The Murton Park Community

The ongoing success of Murton Park requires the work and input of a great number of people, many of whom are volunteers and living history groups that offer their time freely to make the site what it is today.

In return we can offer a friendly welcome, a range of unique opportunities and a place some of these organisations can call “home”.

The York and District Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers meet regularly at the Farming Museum to learn and share a variety of textile skills. For more information please visit their website by clicking on the following link Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers

The York and District Beekeepers Association have been based at Murton Park since 1981 and have a purpose build pavilion on site. During the summer months this is open to the public on Sundays and if you are interested in joining an eight week bee keeping course beginning in May please do get in touch

If you would like to volunteer with us please do not hesitate to contact us as we would love to hear from you.
