Food and Farming
“Education Workshops to find out where our food comes from”
 

We are proud to announce the launch of our new educational day entitled “Food and Farming” in association with FACE.

Targeting specific area’s of the national curriculum, the day is aimed at primary school children in Key Stage One and Key Stage Two and focuses on food, healthy eating and where our food comes from. It also includes a workshop based around the subject of animal husbandry. Set in the Victorian era children have the opportunity to take part in hands on farming related activities. Be a ‘Farm Detective’ and explore the historical artifacts within the Museum which have been used to make our daily bread.

Education visits can be booked for a full day or a half day. We can accommodate a maximum of 34 children on this day. for further information please contact our booking officer on 01904 489966.
