Welcome

Welcome to Murton Park, a 14 acre site thriving with events and activities throughout the year. Based just outside York this is your gateway to both the Yorkshire Museum of Farming and the Danelaw Centre for Living History.

The Yorkshire Museum of Farming
What will you discover?

Come and see how the Museum is changing. With interactive installations for children due to be fitted in our Livestock Gallery in March 2010 and sound tubes which talk you through the calendar year in the Four Seasons Gallery, there is so much to see and do.
Our lively events programme provides fun and exciting events for all ages during the holidays and on many weekends. Activities link to rural crafts and seasonal events throughout the year and also introduce the tools and techniques that have produced our daily bread for hundreds of years. The site boasts a large picnic area, playground and many animals such as sheep, goats and ponies.

Follow the link on the links on the left hand side to find out more about the Museum and its collections.
