This year the opening hours have been extended by an hour with last admission at 4pm. On Friday the 20th we will be open from 11.30am with last admission at 6pm to give time to visit after the last day of school and kick start the holidays with a super festive experience.
NO BOOKING NEEDED.
New for 2019 we are very excited to announce that you’ll be able to visit Mother Christmas and make all sorts of Christmas crafts to take home with you.
The Derwent Valley Light Railway will be running heritage passenger trains on which children will receive an early Christmas gift from Santa himself.
Join Chief Elf Bauble for a guided tour of Santa’s village to meet the elves who are busy training for Santa’s Air Service (SAS). There is certainly going to be lots of silly antics from the elves as well as the presents being packed ready for Christmas eve.
Take a look through Father Christmas’s House which as you would expect is very tastefully decorated with traditional decorations and a wood burning fire to warm yourselves.
This year to add to the excitement there will be a range of fairground rides. Unlimited rides for only £5 or £2.50 per ride.
On your return from the cold adults will receive a complimentary sherry (or orange juice) and mince pie in the farmhouse kitchen and get chance to fully warm yourselves up.
The Farmhouse Kitchen Café will be open offering snacks and light refreshments throughout the Santa Specials.
*Note that large parts of this event take place outdoors so we recommend outdoor clothing and footwear.
