Living History Volunteer
Living history volunteers support the Living History team in the delivery of educational workshops for school children.

Front of House/Retail Volunteers
Front of House/Retail volunteers is the public face of the museum so they are very important to us. Volunteers in this role will work alongside the Administration Officer and the Curator; assisting with tasks such as welcoming visitors, selling tickets and ensuring that visitors are enjoying their day safely.

Grounds Person Volunteer
Grounds person volunteers assist with the general upkeep of our 16 acre site. This includes non-technical upkeep of the grounds and buildings across the site, manual work & DIY and gardening & nature conservation.

Nature Trail Volunteer
The nature trail focuses on wildlife on the farm and looks at the wild creatures that live on our farms and how the relationship between wildlife and agriculture is changing. Nature trail volunteers will assist with the upkeep, protection and development of the trail.

Marketing/Communications Volunteer
The Yorkshire Museum of Farming maintains a presence on the web through our web site and social media pages. The marketing/communications volunteer would assist with maintaining these sites and would help with the development of other forms of external marketing.
Livestock Volunteer
The Yorkshire Museum of Farming has a variety of livestock on site including sheep, goats, pigs, ponies and poultry. The livestock volunteer would assist with feeding the animals, mucking out and general maintenance of the pens and livestock areas.
