There are lots of ways you can get involved with the museum whether it is with historical collections, research, with our living history department, helping the livestock or with events!
The museum is home to a number of community groups and we welcome enquiries from any groups and organisations wishing to help, get involved or display their goods and give demonstrations.

The museum is very grateful to the fantastic support it receives from our volunteers. As a charity we rely a great deal on the goodwill of those willing to give up their time to lend a hand. Volunteers are always welcome and we guarantee you’ll be made to feel part of the team straight away!
There’s always a huge amount to be done around our large site; whether you’d like to help in the shop, assist with our livestock, help with museum collection work, do some groundskeeping and gardening, there’s no shortage of ways in which you could contribute, regardless of age, experience or the amount of time you can commit.
