We’re looking for a Front of House & School Bookings Officer to join our team on a part-time basis.
The perfect candidate will be able to showcase how their background aligns with the following requirements:
Management of school bookings

- To oversee and manage all school bookings that come in via our booking system
- Organise and facilitate school visits alongside the Living History Lead and Deputy Manager, ensuring a smooth and educational experience for all participants
- Assist in the development of educational programmes and workshops, where needed
- Maintain accurate records of all school bookings
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of the education programme
- Develop strong relationships with schools and educational institutions to foster partnerships and repeat visits
- Provide excellent post-visit follow-up with schools to gather feedback and encourage future bookings.
Front of House / Shop management
- Assist in the training of new Front of House staff, ensuring they are well-versed in customer service standards
- Manage the rota for Front of House staff to ensure the front desk is always covered
- Manage shop and purchasing of shop items
- Develop and implement shop strategies to attract more visitors
- Ensure all customer interactions are handled professionally and courteously
- Maintain a welcoming and informative presence in the park, acting as an ambassador for the park
- Provide accounting support to Finance Officer
- Manage and facilitate room hire and bookings
- Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction and implement processes where deemed necessary
- Answer school and park enquiries that come in via phone/email
Experience: Xero Accounting experience is ideal but training can be given
Hours: full/part-time hours to suit candidate
Pay: £12 per hour
