Join us on Saturday, 27th June, for a terrarium workshop with York Terrariums.
You’ll learn all about terrariums, how these self-contained ecosystems survive so well on their own and how to look after them. We will start with a short introduction explaining the history and science that goes into building a terrarium, from the different plants you can use to why activated charcoal has become our special ingredient. Then it is up to you guys to roll up your sleeves and build your own! You’ll be supplied with a terrarium jar, which you can fill with various plants and an arrangement of pebbles and moss.
Ask any questions you have, and by the end of the session, you’ll have your own exciting miniature garden to take away and watch develop over the next months and years. All contents, jars, and tools will be supplied, and we will send you home with a bag to pop your terrarium in and a care guide with our details, in case you have any further questions.
Cost: £50 per person
Time: The terrarium workshop will take place between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm
The cafe is in the room next door if you need any refreshments during your workshop.
