Join us during Viking Week to find out what it was like to live as a Viking settler.

From Tuesday 19th – Friday 22nd August, you can learn about the Vikings through crafts, storytelling and a Living History Day on Thursday 21st August.

If you haven’t already been to our Viking village, it’s the perfect setting for this fun-filled week.

BADGE MAKING: Tuesday 19th August, 10.30am-12.30pm

Create a Viking design – or one of your own – and we’ll turn it into a badge.

50p per badge with park admission.

STORYTELLING: Wednesday 20th August, 11am & 2pm

A Viking story told by Skalla the Skald in the Long House.

Free event with park admission.

LIVING HISTORY DAY: Thursday 21st August, 11am-3pm

Head to the Viking village for our Living History Day:

  • Food demonstration
  • Come along an play the Viking game Kub

 

 

  • Learn about medicine and plants in Viking times
  • See a Viking make a leather scabbard
  • Viking loom demonstration
