Explore what life was like for our distant ancestors during our Prehistory Week, running from 29th July to 1st August!
Our Prehistoric village will be your backdrop for our Living History Day on Thursday, 31st July, when you can learn about early societies and their daily life courtesy of our Living History Interpreters. There’ll also be craft activities and storytelling during the week.

Here’s what we’ll be up to during Prehistory Week:
Create a prehistoric design (or one of your own!) and we’ll make it into a badge for you.
50p per person with an park admission (payable on the day).
Take part in a Prehistory Living History Day on the prehistoric Village. The day will include:
- A bronze casting demonstration
- A demonstration using ink pigments (cave painting)
- Help build a henge out of giant Lego bricks
- Weaving demonstration
- Have a go at archaeology
Free with an park admission.
Optional wheel braiding at £1 per person with park admission (payable on the day).
Make a prehistoric necklace or bracelet to take home.
£3 per person with park admission.
