10am-4pmVanguard will host an engaging living history display in which its members will educate the public on the day-to-day life of a person from the 13th Century.
Vanguard will also perform multiple combat displays throughout the day to show off our combat prowess and allow the public to see a thrilling display of period-accurate weapons and armour in use.
Founded by William McKenzie, a seasoned re-enactor himself, Vanguard is a medieval battle re-enactment group based in the North East. The group re-enacts battles and combat from the medieval period, predominantly sporting the arms and armour of 13th-century England, specifically around the turn of the century in the 1290s.
This event is free with park admission.
